Sweet and simple, daisy design for a 50th birthday. Inside is a gluten free chocolate cake, three layers tall with a chocolate buttercream between the layers.
The daisies are made from gumpaste cut with a flower cookie cutter. I stacked 2-3 layers of these cuts, curled the ends and dried in a shallow cup. For the center I took a ball of brown gumpaste and pressed it on a small strainer (screen-like strainer) to make the design and then added to the flower.
